Sample Submission

Submission guidelines for all sample types

Follow these steps to ensure your samples arrive safely and are processed without delay.

ICA will cover the cost of shipping for submissions of 10 or more samples.

Please contact ICA prior to shipping for more information.

Step 1

Verify Sample Mass

Confirm your sample meets the minimum mass requirement for its material type. Refer to the material guidelines table below for recommended amounts.

Step 2

Handle Samples Individually

Process one sample at a time to prevent mix-ups, particularly when submitting multiple samples from the same project.

Step 3

Package For Shipping

Where possible, wrap samples in aluminum foil before placing in a sealable secondary container such as a plastic bag or vial. This provides both physical protection and an additional contamination barrier.

Step 4

Label Clearly

Mark the secondary container with the sample ID as it appears on your submission form.

Step 5

Ship to our Laboratory

Include a completed Sample Submission Form with your shipment and send to:

Confirmation and Timeline

We will confirm receipt of your samples within one business day and provide an estimated date for delivery of results.
